ALL SIDES OF ME

“All Sides Of Me” is a song about vulnerability and the practice of allowing oneself and others to see and love all aspects of our identity and being. I want this song to inspire more self-love, and discourage people from hiding any elements of their themselves - their dreams, beliefs, questions and true desires. A song that highlights the concerns I believe we can all have at times, surrounding “enough-ness” and “lovability”.

I encourage everyone to consider all of the gifts that come with letting your true self shine.

Written by Amanda and Sierra Nooble.

THE SPACES IN BETWEEN

This song was created as medicine for myself, and medicine for anyone else who has struggled with finding a sense of belonging. My whole life I’ve found it hard to feel like I belong.

As I continue to explore my identity as a queer Métis woman, I realize that these binary spaces that colonialism has imposed on me, on all of us, aren’t a part of my belief system, or my tradition. I dream of life in a different way. I don’t have to live in these binary spaces, I live in the places in between - the beautiful and rich places in between.

Produced by Hill Kourkoutis.

100 YEARS

“My people will sleep for 100 years, but when they awake, it will be the artists who give them their spirit back.” - Louis Riel

Inspired by the stirring words of one of the country’s most famous (and most misrepresented) leaders, Louis Riel, Rheaume’s song seeks to answer, for herself, this complex question of identity and history. The song interrogates the colonial record and Rheaume’s place in the bigger picture. With “100 Years,” Rheaume adds her voice to the ongoing work of retelling this story, as it should have been told, over a century ago.
